Winter Mountaineering (Refresher Course) - Two Days
This two day course focuses on the basic winter skills. Crampon and ice axe work. Snow and avalanche awareness.
Our “Winter mountaineering refresher” course is set in the heart of the Lake District in the dale of Langdale just out of Ambleside.
The course is aimed at those who have experience of winter walking but want to refresh the skills and be confident that they are safe in the winter mountain environment.

• Navigation
• Ice axe and crampon use
• Snow formation and avalanche assessments
• Winter summit days
• Security on steeper ground
