BCU ONE STAR & BCU TWO STAR KAYAK AND CANOE COURSES - 2012

Peak Outdoor Training offer the New BCU STAR Awardsat the Roman Lakes Marple and New Mills (River Goyt and Peak Forrest Canal)

The new Star Awards provide training and assessment for paddlers. The initial awards are generic, encouraging paddlers to experience the various disciplines of paddlesport available.

BCU ONE STAR - Beginner Kayak and Canoe Course

One Star - A flat water award that demonstrates that an individual has basic boat control and foundation skills. The one star can be taken in any kind of paddlesport craft.

This course covers the fundamental kayak skills required by all paddlers.

BCU TWO STAR - Beginner Kayak and Canoe Course

Two Star - An award that helps paddlers develop fundamental paddlesport skills on flat water. The emphasis is on further experience, creating the desired movement of the boat and developing an understanding of how the paddle, boat and water interact.
